This item was collected , rather traded for and it was a’must’have! There is a serial number and the following: PROPERTY AIR FORCE U. ARMY on one of the “wings”. It is very heavy, and the \top portion unscrews with very tight threads. As shown in the photos. I do not know exactly what it is a rocket/missile. All I know is that it is collectors’ piece, and would be a fine, and unique addition to any military collection. My estimate is circa 1955.
