VTG AVIREX Type A-2 30-1415 Contract No 1978-01 US Army Air Forces Flight Jacket. Absolutely extraordinary condition for its age. I’ve really never seen anything like it. It’s like it was in a time capsule for 40+ years. Appears to have never been worn. Like it was made yesterday. Leather is as soft and supple as I have ever seen or felt. Cuffs retain all of their original structure and elasticity which is pretty unbelievable. It may sound like I’m being hyperbolic but I’m just blown away by this bomber/flight jacket. Not only the condition but the exceptional quality. Avirex made some special jackets. See photos for further details.
