US WW2 Army Air Force Pin Back Sterling Air Crew Wings 3 Luxenberg Feather M331

For sale here is a great looking US WW2 Army Air Corps Air Crew Wing. These Wings are 3 wide. The Wings are pin back with a functional roller lock catch. The pin appears to be silver and only opens to about 45 degrees. The wings are die struck and are nice and crisp. The Wing features amazing detail with fully feathered wings and a separately applied Air Crew center disc. The back of the Wing is smooth with a hollowed out center and scalloped wings. The entire wing has an extremely dark patina with the exception of the pin, catch, and a small area around the disc where the lower wings retain some frosting. The wings are marked Sterling on the back. Based upon the separately applied disc, the 45 degree pin, the catch, and the fully feathered wings, i believe this is an unmarked Luxenberg wing. I have had several other unmarked feathered wings before, but they did not share this much in common with the Luxenbergs. If you know this to be a different maker, please let me know, and i will update the listing. This Wing will make a great addition to any collection.
