Excellent, lightly used matched pair of WWII AAF flying boots made from shearling fleece with brown leather exterior, wool interior, with molded rubber soles. These were improved from the Type A-A6 by adding leather straps over the instep and ankle to help prevent the boots from falling off during a parachute descent. Fleece and leather is in very good condition with no damage and little wear. Looks like they were made by the Converse shoe company. Rubber shoe sections are soft and pliable and show very little wear. Zippers retain original leather pullers and are intact and working. Leather straps and buckles all present and in solid condition. Thick, fleece lining and clear labels with heavy. Wonderful AAF logo decal on both boots. Overall very good condition. Some light wear and creasing to the leather.
