We have not cleaned it, it is in the same condition as it was when it was acquired. The pin is heavily tarnished and does have surface scratches, abrasions and some of the finer details are worn. It is marked Gemsco Sterling on the center back. From research it appears to be a US Air Force Navigator Wings Pin from World War II.
