This is a 1944 issue Army Air Forces Type AN-H-15 summer flying helmet. It is in very good condition. Current replacement chin strap assembly. AAF original label indicates this is a desirable size extra large. During WWII, very few extra large helmets were produced due to low demand. Today this size is very hard to find. Clean and very good. A favorite of P-51 Mustang Pilots flying support for B-29 crews. Handsome and beautiful original flying helmet.
