Carl Norden U. S. Army Air Forces M-9 Bomb Sight NAME PLATE s/n R-916 Ord 42-8807

ARMY AIR FORCES BOMB SIGHT…. Are the Stamped and Raised Markings on this vintage used NAME PLATE (with rivets and Cover plate) from a WWII era American Military Bomber. ANCHOR symbol probably indicates that this came from a U. S Marine Corps BOMBER Sight. My photos show the exact item that you are getting, and are a major part of my description. The enclosed page with drawings (BOMBSIGHT AUTOMATIC RELEASE LOCK-EXPLOTED VIEW) identifies the pieces as a #32 NAME PLATE and two #33 NAME PLATE RIVETS, and a #31 COVER. ALL are aluminum, with some remnants of black paint. The Norden nameplate ALONE measures about 2″ x 1″. It has light wear, a darkened metal patina, and some flaking paint, as seen in the pictures.
