Vintage U. S Army Air Force Canvas Flyers Garment Bag Suitcase Type B-4
Air Force style B-4 garment / flight bag. Heavy-duty olive drab canvas with reinforced stitching. Classic fold-out suitcase design with carry handle. Multiple compartments for uniforms or garments. Named to “Captain Ralph Lane” with service number 0370613. Marked “Air Corps, ” consistent with U. Army Air Corps / early Army Air Forces period. Service number format and markings suggest likely WWII-era officer use, though exact date of manufacture is unconfirmed. Canvas is sturdy with no major structural damage. Shows expected wear from age including scuffs, discoloration, and storage marks. One side pocket features dual zipper pulls; one zipper pull has detached, but the remaining zipper is functional and the pocket still opens and closes. Small tear present on interior fabric lining (see close-up photo). Era not confirmed-likely mid-century (possibly Vietnam era), but not guaranteed WWII. Please review all photos carefully for condition and details. Great piece for collectors, display, reenactment, or practical use.
