Antique WWII Sweetheart Gold Filled Locket Army Air Forces in Original Uris Box

Authentic World War II era U. Army Air Forces sweetheart photo locket, complete with its original URIS Sales Corp. This beautifully preserved piece was made by URIS Sales Corp. The locket features a propeller bar, the classic symbol of U. Army aviation, identifying service in the Army Air Corps / Army Air Forces prior to the establishment of the U. Air Force in 1947. The front is decorated with a raised U. Army eagle and shield set against a white background, likely mother-of-pearl, framed in gold-filled metal. Originally worn by wives, girlfriends, or mothers, these “sweetheart” lockets held a small photograph of the serviceman and were cherished keepsakes during wartime. Marking: 1/20 12KT Gold Filled.
