WWII US 13th Army Air Force Uniform Jacket Pants Shirt Tie Belt Patches Dog Tag. Thia is an incredible piece of WWII US Air Force history. This uniform belonged to Elwood C. Pieper, a Crew Chief who spent 3 1/2 years in the South Pacific in Australia, New Guinea, and the invasion of the Philippine Islands with the 13th Air Force. This uniform includes the green jacket, shirt and green brown tie, pants, belt, Sergeant rank insignia on both sleeves, service stripes on the left sleeve, campaign ribbons, Unit Citation ribbon, Ruptured Duck on the right chest, US Air Force patch on the left shoulder, 13th Air Force patch on the right shoulder and notched dog tag. It also has the round US and Aviation insignia collar discs on the upper lapels. The jacket is a 37L and has the descriptive tag dated 1940. It is in excellent condition with only a minor moth nip on the bottom left side. The pants are marked 32 waist and 38 inseam. They have the 5 button front flap. They are in nice condition with minor moth nips on the cuff and a small hole near the crotch. They come with a tan web belt with a solid brass buckle. The shirt is marked 15 – 33, has a Ruptured Duck patch on the right chest and is in excellent condition. It comes with a standard issue lighter brown tie that has a small stain on the front. There are 5 ribbons and unit commendation on the jacket front. They are: Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal w/ 1 Star, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 5 Stars and Philippine Liberation Medal w/ 2 Stars. The blue with gold trim Presidential Unit Commendation ribbon is on the right chest with the Ruptured Duck which signifies an Honorable Discharge.
