This is a rare WWII United States Army Air Forces 36th Fighter Squadron, 8th Fighter Group, 5th Air Force jacket patch. Known as the “Flying Fiends” the unit was island hopping in the Pacific in WWII flying P-39s, P-38s, and P-40 fighter aircraft. Dates from the WWII period. Approximately 6-3/4″ x 5-1/2″. This is a great opportunity to add a unique WWII fighter squadron patch that was worn on a jacket by a service member. Overall in good condition for its age.
