Kelso Mfg US Army Air Force A2 horsehide jacket, 42R. Condition is “New with tags”. This is a premium A2 flight jacket reproduced exactly per the J A Dubow company contract from WWII. It is exact in every detail. It is actually better as it has premium horsehide from Italy. Some were made with goatskin and cowhide. Horsehide is the best as it is more durable but also harder to get and more expensive. Go to their website to read all about it. Color is Russet with beautiful reddish tint wool cuffs. Unfortunately I tried it on and realized I should have ordered a 44R I was once young, 5’9 165Lbs and more importantly, had a flat stomach. These jackets are very flattering if you are a young pilot-which I once was. It fits but very “full” when zipped up if you have acquired the small tire that I have. Can’t express how nice the quality is. There are several other very high quality manufacturers of this jacket and many of lesser skills in making them. I rate Bill Kelso as one of the best if not the best. Certainly one of the more expensive. You get what you pay for. The one piece back is a signature A2 characteristic as that was what the US army required in its production contracts. Very expensive now to make it this way.
