WW2 Case XX US Army Air Force Folding Machete
WW2 US Army Air Force survival machete. This style machete was most commonly held in the seat back of a plane or other Survival Kits. This is a folding style machete approximately 15 and 1/2 inches long when open. The handle has some wear but no cracks or missing parts. There’s some denting on the guard end on one side, probably from using it as a hammer. Overall the blade is clean and in excellent condition. The blade is still held tightly in the handle when open and closed. Made by Case XX in the US for military use by crews operating in the South Pacific. Later in the war when survival kits were becoming more standardized they were found in Europe also. Overall the blade is in excellent condition.
