This WW2 Australian Air Force RAAF US Army Air Force USAAF Survival Machete is in good, clean condition overall but shows expected signs of age and wear. The blade is unmarked and shows mild evidence of age and use. The cutting edge is mostly clean however a few blemishes from use can be noticed and it’s original “hooked” point has been lost. The aluminum handle is in good condition however traces of past use are present, most notably the appearance of blemishes that would suggest prior usage as a hammer. The blade is securely affixed to the handle with two Copper pins though a mild amount of “play” or “wobble” can be detected. The leather sheath is in fair condition overall and shows expected signs of wear from use and poor storage. The sheath leather is mostly strong however the two retention straps show symptoms of dryness with one strap having a strong tear. All metal hardware is intact and functions as you would expect. Of note, a previous owner’s name R. FAULKNER is written in black ink on the front and back sides of the sheath. This blade would make a fine addition to any advanced WW2 edged weapons collection. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of contents and their condition. You are responsible for knowing the laws that apply to your area and obeying them.
