Early WWII AAF US Army Air Force CBI China Burma India Leather Blood Chit 1942

Outstanding World War II US Army Air Force Blood Chit jacket patch. From the China-Burma-India theater of operations. It is a very early piece from the war dating to circa 1942. The top left is a 48 star US flag, the right is the flag of the Republic of China, The bottom has the shield insignia of the CBI. There is also writing to inform local populations that the potentially downed pilot is an ally and not Japanese. This is the larger variant measuring 9.75″ x 10″. It looks like it was never sewn on a jacket. Shows minor wear, spots or foxing. Please see photos for details.
