Authentic World War II U. Army Air Forces wool serge service coat manufactured by Herman D. Oritsky under contract W-669-qm-23025, dated November 11, 1942. Constructed from heavy 18 oz. OD wool serge with period-correct brass eagle buttons and original insignia intact. A strong historical piece reflecting wartime Army Air Forces service. Insignia & Details. 13th Air Force shoulder patch. Corporal rank chevrons. Honorable Discharge “Ruptured Duck” patch above right chest pocket. Mechanic specialty insignia on chest. Original brass eagle buttons. Four-pocket front service coat design. Size: Marked size 38R / Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot tag present. Good vintage condition consistent with age and service wear.
