WWII U. S. Army Air Force Corps Sterling Silver Pilot Wings Badge

This is an original WWII U. Army Air Forces full-size pilot/aircrew wing, crafted in sterling silver and maker-marked A. STERLING on the reverse. American Emblem Company was a documented wartime insignia contractor, and their sterling wings are well-known among collectors for their quality and accurate wartime construction. His piece comes from my grandfather’s WWII service in the U. The badge measures approximately 3 inches across and features the classic wartime pattern with a U. Shield flanked by detailed outstretched wings. The pin-back fastening and overall construction are consistent with WWII-period manufacture. The piece retains an untouched, original patina, which collectors often prefer as evidence of authenticity. A solid example of a WWII sterling wing from a respected maker – ideal for serious militaria collectors, aviation historians, or anyone building a representative WWII USAAF display. Authentic WWII vintage condition. Sterling and maker marks are crisp and legible. Pin-back clasp intact and functional. No cracks, bends, or major damage. Please review photos for details.
