WW II German Army Air Force DAK 6×30 ddx TAN BINOCULARS & CASE VERY NICE
These were brought back by a US Veteran at the end of the war. The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issued to personnel on a limited basis. Made of brass and steel by ddx, these 6 x 30 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 90% of their original paint and finish, and the end piece fittings are 100% intact! The focus adjustments still function, but the image is a bit foggy, as you cans ee in the photos. Should claen-up quite easily. The right side body is marked Dienstglas (Service Binoculars), 6×30, ddx (Voigtlander und Sohn). As they are in used condition, there are some slight marks and scratches throughout. The bakelite case is the original that came with this set… But I think thee leather straps/fittings were repalced at one time. A VERY NICE example, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display! TERMS OF SALE.
